The International Jazz Meeting "Kostas Kouvidis" is an annual event that is held at Heraklion, Crete and is organized by the non profit organization "You Are What U Do/ Kostas Kouvidis".
The event is dedicated in memory of the young jazz drummer Kostas Kouvidis (1976 - 2007) that was killed in a traffic "accident" in Athens on the 26th of April 2007.
The goals of the event are to be a permanent and productive gathering of jazz musicians in the city of Heraklion, as well as to make people more sensitive in the subject of car crashes that result in thousand lost lives in the streets every year.

Η διεθνής τζάζ συνάντηση "Κωστας Κουβιδης" είναι μια ετήσια εκδήλωση που γίνεται στο Ηράκλειο Κρήτης και διοργανώνεται απο την μη κερδοσκοπική οργάνωση "You Are What U Do / Kostas Kouvidis".
Η εκδήλωση είναι αφιερωμένη στην μνήμη του νεαρού τζάζ ντράμερ Κώστα Κουβίδη (1976 - 2007) που σκοτώθηκε σε τροχαίο "ατύχημα" στην Αθήνα στις 26 Απριλιου 2007.
Οι στόχοι της εκδήλωσης είναι να αποτελέσει μια μόνιμη και παραγωγική συνάντηση μουσικών της τζάζ στην πόλη του Ηρακλείου, καθώς και να ευαισθητοποιήσει το κοινό στο θέμα των τροχαίων συγκρούσεων πού έχουν ως αποτέλεσμα να χάνονται χιλιάδες ζωές στους δρόμους κάθε χρόνο.
